Libby Koepke is starting her 15th year of teaching. Mrs. Koepke grew up in League City and is a graduate of Clear Creek high school where she served as the Captain of the Cavaliers dance team. She was on Jazz and Kick Company for two years, voted Most Outstanding Junior and also received the MaryLou Johnson Award her senior year.

Libby Koepke is starting her 15th year of teaching. Mrs. Koepke grew up in League City and is a graduate of Clear Creek high school where she served as the Captain of the Cavaliers dance team. She was on Jazz and Kick Company for two years, voted Most Outstanding Junior and also received the MaryLou Johnson Award her senior year.
After high school, Mrs. Koepke attended Kilgore Junior College where she was a member of the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. She had several performance opportunities as a Rangerette which include Dallas Cowboy’s pregame and halftime performances, the Cotton Bowl pregame and half time performances, the 2002 Jingle Elf Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, the 2003 Governors Inaugural Parade in Austin, the 2003 Indianapolis 500, and the 2003 Macy’s Day Parade in New York.
Mrs. Koepke completed her college career at Texas Christian University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Modern Dance. She studied under Susan Douglas Roberts, Christian Von Howard, Alonzo King, Fernando Bujones, Elizabeth Gillaspy and Suki John. While at TCU she was also a member of the TCU Showgirls dance team and performed at the Houston Texas Bowl Game and the San Diego Poinsettia Bowl Game.
Prior to coming to Clear Creek, Mrs. Koepke was an Assistant Director of the Dobie High School Lariaettes and both an Assistant Director and Director of the Pearland High School Prancers.
Libby Koepke is very passionate about her volunteer work with the Texas Dance Educators Association. She served on convention committees for 6 years and has been a member of the TDEA Executive Board for 8 years. She served as the 21-22 TDEA President.
Mrs. Koepke currently resides in Santa Fe with her husband, John, two sons, Finn and Wyatt, and daughter, Lucy. She is very excited to be at Creek with the Cavaliers and can’t wait to continue all of the organizations long standing traditions.

Note: Students will also earn 0.5 PE substitution credit upon successful completion of the fall semester of Dance Team for the rehearsals and activities after school hours.

Performance Opportunities
Football Half-times, Pep Rallies, Parades, Basketball Half-times, Dance Team Contests, Spring Show, and various community performances
