Marka Wood started dancing at the age of three and has been dancing ever since. She started taking dance at Jill Rauscher's School of Dance and was a member of the Razzmatazz and Epic dance company. She was also a member of the Clear Brook Celebrities Drill Team in high school and was on the Jazz Company where she was voted most outstanding Junior. She then attended Blinn College and was a member of the BlinnTreasures. She was on the Blinn Dance Team for three years and was the Lieutenant her second year. After Blinn she was offered a dance scholarship at Stephen F. Austin and became a member of the SFA PomSquad. Her last year at Stephen F. Austin she was asked to be a member of the SFA Repertory Dance Company. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in December 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Dance with a Minor in Kinesiology and a Teaching Certificate. She attended Sam Houston State University where she received a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Instructional Technology. Prior to the Cavaliers, she was the Asst. Director of the Clear Springs Silveradosfor 2 years.
Megan Tallo began her artistic career in the gymnastics community then eventually found a love for dance after taking a ballet class at the age of five. Not long after she began training in ballet she was asked to audition for the A Touch Of Class competition team where she competed both at the regional and national level. Megan was awarded Junior Miss Dance KAR along with other prestigious dance titles and overall awards. During her time competing, she was also a member of the Hammond Ballet Company. Megan was a member of the Lone Star Rangerettes out of Frisco, Texas in high school, where she served as Technique Officer her junior year and Captain her senior year. After high school she decided to continue her dance education and auditioned for the Stephen F. Austin State University Dance Teams. She was a 4 year member of SFADT. Her senior year, Megan led her team to not one but two National Titles at the National Dance Alliance College Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL. During her time at SFA, Megan traveled with TJ Maple, Coordinator of Spirit Programs at SFA, to assist with choreography for high school teams such as the nationally ranked Rancocas Valley Dance Team in New Jersey among many others. Megan received a Bachelor of Science in Dance Education and a minor in Math, and graduated magna cum laude, from Stephen F. Austin State University in May 2018. She is currently a frequent master teacher at On Moving Dance Company in Walker, LA and has also choreographed for the national award winning members of “The Company” at OMDC.

Grade 9-12 Fine Arts Credit Prerequisite: Audition
Note: Students will also earn 0.5 PE substitution credit upon successful completion of the fall semester of Dance Team for the rehearsals and activities after school hours.

Football Half-times, Pep Rallies, Parades, Basketball Half-times, Dance Team Contests, Spring Show, and various community performances
Located in League City, Texas, the Clear Creek Cavaliers are an award winning high school dance team with a long history of tradition and excellence at Clear Creek High School. The team has entertained half-time audiences at the Clear Creek High School varsity football and basketball games since 1956.
Besides team sporting events, the yearly social and community activities, the team also travels to competitions all over our area. Each year members of the community can look forward to the annual Cavalier Spring Show which takes place in late April or early May.
Tryouts for the team are held annually, in the month of March.
